Photo: freepik.comDuring September, 2,886 construction permits were issued in Serbia, which represents a decrease of 16.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Of the total number of permits issued in September, 84.6 percent of permits refer to buildings, and 15.4 percent to other structures.
If only buildings are considered, 81.3 percent of permits were issued for residential buildings, and 18.7 percent for non-residential buildings, while the majority of other buildings relate to pipelines, communication and electrical lines (72.5 percent), it is written in the regular monthly report of the Republic Institute of Statistics.
According to the permits issued in September 2022 in the Republic of Serbia, the construction of 3,809 apartments was reported, with an average area of 71.2 square meters. Of the total number of apartments in new residential buildings, 10.1 percent of apartments will be built in buildings with one apartment, with an average area of 153.6 square meters, and 89.0 percent of apartments will be built in buildings with three apartments or more, and their average area will be significantly smaller and will amount to 60.5 square meters.
The estimated value of the new construction works in September 2022 is 79.1 percent of the total estimated value of the works.
Observed by regions, the greatest construction activity is expected in the Belgrade region, i.e. 24.2 percent of the predicted value of new construction, followed by Moravica region (20.8 percent), Juznobačka region (7.6 percent) and Raška region (5.9 percent ), while the shares of other areas range from 0.1 to 5.5 percent.
Although 16.5 percent less building permits were issued in September than in the same period last year, the value of the works foreseen in them is 24.5 percent higher on an annual basis.
