Also, there are more and more citizens who rent and pay for garages on a monthly basis, and there are also those who take out loans in order to solve this issue and provide themselves with a good parking lot or garage space, writes biznis.rs.
The latest report of the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGZ) shows that the prices of garage spaces in the territory of the Republic of Serbia during 2021 ranged from a minimum of 200 euros in Smederevo to 40,000 euros, the most expensive garage space paid for at Belgrade Waterfront.
The report for 2021 also states that a total of 14,567 garage spaces were operated on the territory of the Republic of Serbia during that year, of which 10,217 were garage spaces, 1,650 garage spaces and 2,700 off-site parking spaces. When it comes to the share in the total number of sales of garage spaces, the largest share of 53 percent is in the territory of the city of Belgrade.
Garage spaces in Serbia are categorized as a garage lot in a building, a garage space in a building or as a separate garage and parking space outside the building.
An overview of garage prices by municipalities with the highest number of data in 2021 shows that the most expensive parking spaces in 2021 were sold in the Belgrade municipalities of Savski Venac, New Belgrade and Stari Grad, where prices ranged from a minimum of 5,000 euros to maximum 40,000 euros (Savski venac).
Also seen at the municipal level, the largest number of sales is in the area of Novi Sad - 1,925. It is followed by Savski venac - 1,433, Novi Beograd - 1,140, Zvezdara - 975, Voždovac - 925, Zemun - 902, Vračar - 718, Palilula (Belgrade) - 531.
The essential problem of the lack of parking spaces and the huge demand for garages in all major cities is the large number of cars and infrastructure that is not systematically solved.
