The Government of Slovenia is in the current Development Program Plan 2022-2025. included a project of non-refundable financial incentives to citizens for the construction of buildings with almost zero energy consumption. Financing is planned until the end of 2023 or until the funds are used up.

The project of non-refundable financial incentives to citizens for the construction of zero energy buildings aims to increase the use of renewable energy sources, improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The amount of grants approved by the Slovenian Government is 6 million euros, that is, up to 2.5 million euros for 2022 and 4.5 million euros for 2023. Financing is planned until the end of 2023 or until the funds are used up.

INCENTIVE FOR INDIVIDUAL PERSONS

Non-refundable financial incentives will be intended for natural persons for new investments in the construction or purchase of nearly zero-energy buildings with one or two apartments, for new investments in the nearly zero-energy renovation of an older building with several apartments, and for the purchase of an apartment in a new or renovated nearly zero-energy building. to a building with three or more apartments.

The purpose of promoting such new constructions and building renovations is primarily to reduce the amount of energy needed for their operation, and the necessary energy must be largely produced from renewable energy sources, writes energijabalkana.net.

CONTRIBUTION TO A HIGHER QUALITY ENVIRONMENT

By increasing the use of renewable energy sources and increasing the energy efficiency of buildings, excessive air pollution with PM10 particles is reduced. This improves outdoor air quality and contributes to low-carbon and circular economy goals, increases resilience to the effects of climate change, and increases the use of natural, renewable resources.

Buildings with almost zero energy consumption also ensure low operating costs and a better living and working environment in the long term.
