The detailed regulation plan for the area of the "Auto-put" economic zone in New Belgrade, Zemun and Surčin for the block between Marko Čelebonović Street, the T6 road and the newly designed road was amended and supplemented at the session of the City of Belgrade Assembly held on September 28.

Chief urbanist Marko Stojčić states that this is a new location planned for a new open shopping center.

"The new location has about 7.3 hectares and in terms of functionality it will be much more favorable than the current one. Within the plot, there will be a parking space and all the necessary communal facilities, as well as a transformer station that will be not only for the needs of OSC, but also for some parts of the municipalities of Zemun and Novi Beograd", pointed out Stojčić.

He expressed the expectation that after the design, which was entrusted to "City Markets", the new facility will be completed next year, according to Beoinfo.

At the session, a decision was made to rename a part of Zemunska Street into Egypt Street due to the initiative of the Embassy of Egypt to name a street in the territory of Belgrade this way. The name Zemunska street will remain in the residential part, which in terms of space would include residential buildings with odd house numbers.
