BIG RESIDENCE: 1.000 APARTMENTS TO BE BUILT AROUND BIG FASHION CENTER IN VIŠNJIČKA STREET

At the beginning of the year, works on the realization of the BIG Residences project, the first phase of the residential part of the multifunctional complex in Višnjička Street in Karaburma, began. With an impressive area of 180,000 m2, this complex will include 10 residential buildings, a large garage with 2,000 parking spaces and 50,000 m2 of commercial space. At the end of 2019, as part of a broader project, BIG Retail Park was opened, which together with the neighboring BIG Fashion Center forms a complete retail unit. A handful of contents, as well as a combination of residential and commercial functions will enrich the concept of housing in this modern settlement with about 1,000 apartments planned, according to beobuild.rs.

Within the first phase of the residential part of the complex, the construction of the first three buildings (A, B and C) is planned, with a total gross area of 24,000 m2. The first phase will offer 11 types of housing units, organized according to the structure from two-room to four-room. Residential buildings are being built on the building of the BIG Retail Park retail center, within which a large garage was built for the needs of the residential area. The commercial and residential part of the garage will be physically separated, and the tenants will have direct access to the garage from their buildings. Of the common facilities for tenants, basketball courts, two running tracks, a walking trail, as well as more children's playgrounds are planned within the complex.

The complex bordered by Višnjička, Diljska, Uralska and Stevan Hristić Streets is located in a promising location, not far from the Danube and future development projects on Ada Huja and the Port of Belgrade, as well as on the route of the future metro. In the last phase of realization, the construction of a business and office building is planned, on the corner of Stevana Hristića and Višnjička streets, which will functionally complete the entire complex.

The construction of the first phase of the residential part began at the beginning of the year, and the deadline for the completion of the first three buildings is planned for June 2023. The investor is the Israeli company BIG CEE, which operates in our market as one of the largest players in retail, and the BIG Residences project will be their first step in the housing segment. The sale was entrusted to Merin Asset Management.
