Photo: Aleksandar MilutinovićA digital and printed map of Novi Sad and Fruška Gora, whose implementation TONS worked on in the prior period, was promoted on the premises of the Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad. According to the announcement, the map has nearly 600 points on it that represent the most significant wineries, restaurants, hiking trails, public transportation, and other tourist attractions, with directions to each location.
"We will continue filling our digital map in the future. In the second phase, the focus will be on adding new categories for the most important locations in Novi Sad. The third phase will involve the creation of a mobile application, which will include a digital map with attractions and a calendar of events, as well as suggestions for weekends in Novi Sad. Our goal is to create a high-quality digital guide that will contribute to better tourist information for both tourists who come to our city and local residents," said TONS director Branislav Knežević.
"Thanks to the continuous engagement and campaigns we are launching, the trend of increasing the number of tourist arrivals and overnight stays in Novi Sad continues. In the first two months of this year, our city was visited by more than 23,000 tourists, who spent over 72,000 overnight stays, which represents 23% more arrivals and 26% more overnight stays compared to the same period last year. We believe that the statistics will improve from month to month and that this year will be even more successful than the last," said Slavica Lončar, analyst for the development and improvement of the tourist product.
