The minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirović, pointed out that there was an initiative by European partners, launched directly from Ljubljana, to renew the Ljubljana-Zagreb-Belgrade railway line and that they were working intensively with European funds in order to reconstruct the entire railway from Belgrade to Šid.
Momirović emphasized that while visiting the railway station Ruma.
Following the completed reconstruction of the railway near Golubinci, railway traffic has been re-established for residents of Ruma, Sremska Mitrovica, Šid, Šabac and Loznica, writes ekapija.com.
By opening the Šid tracks, after nearly three years, direct passenger traffic has finally been re-established on the route: BG Center – Šid (via Ruma and Sremska Mitrovica) and BG Center – Mali Zvornik (through Ruma, Šabac and Loznica).
