Photo: restaurantandbardesignawards.comEvery year, the world-renowned "Restaurants & Bar Design Awards" honor the best interior design solutions for bars and restaurants all over the world. The fact that the award ceremony is under the supervision of over 45,000 of the world's most important architects, caterers, and journalists confirms that this is a significant and credible honor. This year's competition began on January 3 and will run through June 5, when the shortlist will be voted on via Instagram. The winners for this year's competition will be revealed on September 5, and the prizes will be awarded formally in October. There are no restrictions in terms of size and location of catering facilities. Bars and restaurants on ships, airports, museums, vans serving ordinary hamburgers, or renowned Michelin-starred restaurants are eligible. The only change is the reduced number of categories in which applicants will compete. This time there are five of them and they cover the following regions: Europe, America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and Australia and the Pacific.
Last year's jury, which included 38 significant professionals from the sectors of design, architecture, catering, and lifestyle, selected the finest in a number of categories, and we've picked a few of them here.
