RECONSTRUCTION OF ZINDAN GATE ON KALEMEGDAN HAS BEGUN

Work on the reconstruction of the Zindan Gate began today. The Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesić, who attended the beginning of the works, said that the City of Belgrade will invest a little more than one million euros in the renovation of the Zindan Gate, which is about 120 million dinars.

"This gate was built in the 15th century and represents the treasure of the Belgrade Fortress. With the reconstruction, we will get a lot of space for cultural activities within the gate itself", Vesić announced.

He reminded that the Belgrade Fortress is one of the biggest attractions for foreign tourists in the Serbian capital, reports ekapija.com.
