The project IN REFLECTIONS, 6°27'48.8 N, 3°14'49.20 E, by the young author team of Iva Nunjić and Tihomir Dičić, will represent the Republic of Serbia at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, from May 20 to November 26 of this year.

Out of the five proposals that made it to the second round, the work mentioned received the majority of votes. On behalf of the Ministry of Culture, the performing institution is the Museum of Applied Arts, in cooperation with the Association of Architects of Serbia. The commissioner is the architect Slobodan Jović, and the jury of the competition, as well as the Expert Council, was composed of: Biljana Jotić, MA History of Art and curator, in the capacity of director of the Museum of Applied Art, president of the Council, prof. Ph.D. Dubravka Djukanović, Ph.D. Jelena Ivanović Vojvodić, Ph.D. Miljana Zeković, Assoc. Ph.D. Snežana Vesnić, Assoc. Ph.D. Jelena Mitrović, and architect Ana Djurić.

Lesley Lokko, curator of the 18th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, and author of the concept Laboratory of the Future, addresses the participants and the public, among other things, with the words: "The Archive of the Future is a visual representation of processes, drawings, discussions, ideas, conversations, old arguments, propositions, and new understandings that collectively brought this exhibition to life."

By entering the pavilion of the Republic of Serbia, we will enter an elliptical space-time map with layers of process and duration, observation and reflection, and a re-examination of simultaneity and cyclicality. From the time of the 70s of the 20th century until today, from the space of the international fair in Lagos, which is the central theme of the project and a meeting point of meetings and exchanges, numerous social processes have begun and ended, leaving traces. What distinguishes the authenticity of the author's concept is not only the mapping and notes of the mentioned processes but also a living moment, which in the simplest description can be called brave. In order to become living witnesses of reality and transfer it to the project, the authors traveled to the unstable and dangerous zone of Lagos, faced the current conditions, experienced difficult situations, researched, recorded, and transferred it to the exhibition display and diaries. It is up to us to react and revive the questions raised in ourselves. Temporal and spatial processes now and then, here and there, are the basis of universal questions to which architecture directly responds by opening new questions and creating space for the future. Which?
