They are officially launched under the slogan "The World You Want", and the messages they send are important for all of us.
The world we live in is often the subject of works of art. However, it is rarely seen on large surfaces and in works such as murals. They presented them to Belgrade, and they say freedom in work was enough.
"We had four female artists and two male artists and our link was the Danube. We had a common palette and then everyone had one segment, let's say, which were health, ecology, education, and that slogan was drawn by Uroš Trbić from Novi Sad," says Aleksandra Petković.
Although a demanding area for work, four artists and four cities succeeded. The first painting on the Silos was completed last year, so the people of Belgrade have already seen the works of Jana Danilović and Alekasandra Petković.
Only when in front of the silo does one have a true idea of the size of the mural. They are 16 meters high, and that number is symbolic in the works that are painted. "White bee", in the tradition of the Slavic peoples, is the oldest female ancestor from as many as 16 generations. New murals have made this part of Belgrade an open-air gallery. The Danube connected them, and inspiration helped them fill the demanding surface with art, writes rts.rs.
"It is not a flat surface of the wall, but a wavy structure of a silo. But it is exactly that finding a balance between something that is a personal author's manuscript, which must be preserved at all costs, and somewhere, having tact, feeling, sensibility, so that this personal manuscript does not endanger other personal manuscripts", emphasizes Jana Danilović.
The goal is for these manuscripts to reach as many people as possible, and bright colors and familiar details from nature will certainly help them in this.
