By the end of the year, drivers in Serbia should be able to drive on new roads in as many as eight directions. So many sections should be opened to traffic, and one of them is on Corridor 11 toward Montenegro, to Požega, reports investitor.me.

Last year, 12 kilometers of the 30.9-kilometer-long section between Preljina and Požega were completed and opened to traffic. The construction of the remaining twenty kilometers to Požega should be completed by the end of this year at the latest.

The section is part of the E-763 highway, on the route of Corridor 11, towards the Serbian border with Montenegro, and the estimated value of the works is around 450 million euros. The contractor is the Chinese company CRBC, which also built the priority section of the Bar-Boljare highway, which was opened last year.

On the section to Požega, construction of three tunnels, 32 bridges, 11 overpasses, and three interchanges is planned. That section will connect Čačak, Lučane and Požega and two counties, Moravički and Zlatiborski.

Works are nearing completion on the city highway from New Belgrade to Surčin, as well as on the expressway that will connect Valjevo with the "Miloš Veliki" highway.

Construction of the Belgrade ring road to Bubanj Potok, as well as the Moravski Corridor to Kruševac, the highway from Ruma to Šabac, a section of the future Sarajevo highway from Sremska Rača to Kuzmin, and the first section of the highway from Niš to Priština, near Merošine, are also nearing completion.
