The Association of Serbian Architectural Practices (ASAP) celebrated today its first anniversary at the Belgrade Kitchen Party on Dorćol, together with media representatives, and announced a partnership at the 45th Salon of Architecture, which starts tomorrow, March 28, 2023, at the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade.

The Association of Serbian Architectural Practices has 46 members gathered around the same idea: raising awareness of architecture in society and professionalism in practice. Like IT experts and gamers, they are aware of the fact that only together can they be great individually, and that this is the only way they can present Serbian architecture and all the best of it to the world. The main goal of this association is for people in architecture to connect better, share common experiences, improve cooperation, and thus the entire profession.

The members of this unique association of architects shared with the attendees their impressions of the previous work but also called attention to the lack of media space in our country for the activities and topics that this association deals with and said that they are ready to help change some things.

The representatives of the association, Vladimir Djorić, Danilo Dangubić, and Igor Marsenić, addressed the audience and presented the mission and work of the ASAP association, which should become an architectural pillar of Serbia around which many interesting and useful projects will revolve.

"It is a generation that understands wider contexts, the power of community and connection, does not think in particular, and wants to take the place that belongs to them in Serbian society, just as their generational counterparts from the film and IT industries did. That generation knows that it is an important factor in the national economy and believes that it can make a key contribution to changing the perception of Serbia in the world," said Igor Marsenić, executive manager of ASAP, and added: "I am glad that we had the opportunity to exchange opinions with the representatives of the media in Serbia, whose support is extremely important to us and we care to introduce them to the public mission of our organization. The fact that in this way we opened topics that are current and important both for the architectural profession and for our society is also important."

Vladimir Djorić highlighted that in just one year since its establishment, ASAP organized 15 events important not only for the architectural profession but also for the general public, and he cited the participation of ASAP members in the preparation of the National Architectural Strategy as particularly important.

Danilo Dangubić emphasized that architecture cannot exist without institutions and that during the 45th Salon of Architecture over the next month, ASAP will be an important partner that will contribute to the exchange of experiences between recognized domestic and international representatives of the profession within 12 events, lectures, and expert panels.
