ANNUAL INFLATION AT 15.1 PERCENT IN SERBIA

Inflation in Serbia in November this year was 15.1 percent, and monthly inflation was one percent, the Republic Institute of Statistics announced.

Consumer prices, which measure inflation, in November compared to December 2021 increased by an average of 14.6 percent.

Compared to the previous month, the prices of restaurant and hotel services (1.7 percent), clothing and footwear (1.3 percent), food and soft drinks (1.2 percent), housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, transport and equipment for the apartment and ongoing maintenance (one percent each), reported the RZS.

The price increase also followed in the groups alcoholic beverages and tobacco, recreation and culture, health and education (0.5 percent each) and communications (0.1 percent). Seen on an annual basis, food and non-alcoholic beverages rose in price the most (22.5 percent), and services the least (8.2 percent).
