On the floating dock of the brand-new shipyard for repairs of mega and superyachts, Adriatic 42, in Bijela, the spectacular 108-meter-long superyacht "Black Pearl" is the first vessel to be hoisted from the water. With that, the new shipyard complex in Bijela, funded by the partnership of Tivat's Adriatic Marinas - Porto Montenegro and Dubai's DryDocks World Dubai, has essentially begun operations.

The official opening ceremony of the new shipyard will be held on October 28. This was confirmed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Adriatic 42 and CEO of DryDocks World Dubai, Rade Antolović. "Thanks to the enormous work, investments, dedication and perseverance in the past months, I am pleased to announce that the Adriatic 42 project will be officially opened on October 28. On that day, Montenegro will get a unique facility for the repair and maintenance of megayachts, and this will represent the beginning of a new era of development of the yachting industry in this country," said Antolović in an interview with the Mina-business agency.

He added that this will also mean that in Boka Kotorska, one of the safest harbors in the world, just a few minutes away, yacht owners will have a prestigious port for superyachts, Porto Montenegro, and a place for their overhaul according to the highest world standards - Adriatic 42. Antolović announced that, although the project has not been officially opened, they have received huge interest from clients and have already agreed on jobs that will be done in Adriatic 42.

Antolović said that their goal is to serve 14 superyachts during the first year of operation, and that this number will increase to 109 within a period of five years. He also pointed out that the process will follow the highest level of safety and environmental protection, as well as that alternative sources of energy will be used and that the equipment will be fully energy efficient.
